Welcome: I am very excited for the 2017-2018 school year! I am looking forward to meeting all of the 6th grade students! I am thrilled to have the 7th grade class again for social studies!
Educational Information: I received my BA from Cardinal Stritch University. I have over 36 graduate credits in the field of education from area universities.

Introduction to 6th Grade Social Studies Class: Students will examine the social, economic, and political institutions of Ancient Civilizations. They will analyze similarities and differences among these ancient societies. Students will be doing a variety of hands-on activities, simulations, close readings, research, and will engage in many more exciting learning experiences. Students will be using a variety of resources including McGraw Hill on-line resource suite. Students should have this saved in their "favorites". Students also can check out a hard copy of the book from my classroom. Introduction to 7th Grade Social Studies Class: Students will study American History from the time of the First American through the Civil War. Students will analyze major events, famous people, key dates, conflicts and wars. Students will use the framework of Thinking Like a Historian to examine causes & effects, changes throughout history, and turning points in history. Students will be doing a variety of hands-on activities, simulations, close redadings, research, projects, on-line activities, and will engage in many more exciting learning experiences.
