We are all students in the world of learning.
Welcome to room 543 at Random Lake Middle School!
Who is Mrs. Poull?
I grew up in a large family on a dairy farm just outside of Belgium and went to school in Cedar Grove. I currently live in the town of Port Washington with my husband, five daughters and 1 son. Besides all of us, there are two dogs, three ponies, four bunnies, cats, chickens, and fish which I guess shows I like animals. I also enjoy the outdoors, reading, puzzles, learning about and preserving the past, traveling, spending time with my family, and learning about new things from my students. I also am very involved in 4H. I often will share stories about me and my life in my classroom so I'm sure you will learn more about me as the year goes on.
What kind of teaching experience does Mrs. Poull have?
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in December of 1995 with teaching licenses in Elementary Education, Math, and Special Education. I did some subbing until I took a job at Lincoln Elementary in Port Washington. I worked there for one year until moving to Random Lake School District in the Fall of 1997. I ran the At-Risk room in the Elementary School (BOOST Room) covering grades K-5th and in later years also took on the Middle School At-Risk program so I covered grades K-8. December of 2003 marked my completion of a Masters in Education with a certificate in curriculum and mentoring from Cardinal Stritch University. In 2005 , I moved into the 7th grade position that I am currently in. While I have been in 7th grade, I have taught 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Fast Track Math, 8th grade math, Reading, English, Social Studies and varies other exploratory classes. I have had several student teachers which helps me keep up to date. I was also a recipient of the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Nominee Award.
